Applications opened on 5 October for SEE 100, a GITEX AI Belgrade programme that will select 100 technology startups from Southeast Europe for the 25–27 May 2027 event. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia will cover approximately 95% of participation costs for selected companies, while the programme includes investor workshops, corporate meetings and access to the wider GITEX network.
Startit announced a free 8 October event in Belgrade with the founders of Jurassic Finance and HiveBits, two Serbian teams that raised capital through community-based and tokenised models in 2026. The discussion will examine how founders prepare campaigns, build investor communities and use crowdfunding alongside more traditional startup financing routes.
Montenegrin technology company Five Group says it is in the final preparations to launch its own autonomous robot after completing the product’s design and architecture. The robot is intended initially for hotels, retailers, companies, public institutions and education, with international markets explicitly part of the company’s development plan.
Science and Technology Park Montenegro announced a 9 October meetup with MARLEQ founder Milo Radulović focused on what Montenegro would need to produce its first unicorn. Radulović will draw on building a company from an idea developed in Montenegro to nearly 1,200 clients in more than 80 countries, as well as five years of experience in Estonia.
Montenegro’s Ministry of Tourism will hold the conference “Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence for Redesigning Tourism” on 5 October at the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro in Podgorica. The programme will present concrete digitalisation projects and innovative solutions, including startups and projects supported through the Innovation Fund of Montenegro and Ministry of Tourism programmes.
Serbia’s Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation opened a new bilateral call with Austria on 2 October for joint research projects and researcher mobility. New partnerships across all scientific disciplines can apply until 30 November 2026, with projects running for up to two years.
